This documentary takes a look at the life and career of Michel Platini one of the finest midfielders to have graced the 'beautiful game'. Born in Lorraine on June 21st 1955 Platini was one of the most gifted and elegant players to have ever played the game of football. Quickly snaffled up by Juve Platini won the European Player of the Year three times in succession in 1983 1984 and 1985 alongside his World Player awards in 1984 and 1985. Incredibly for a midfielder he took the top goal-scoring honours for Serie A three years in a row winning two league titles... the European Cup and various other titles along the way. Something of a spiritual godfather to the French football legacy Platini captained 'Les Bleus' to 1984 Euro Championship glory scoring 9 goals en route to top the goal-scorers chart. Currently he is something of an ambassador for Gallic football in the same vein as Bobby Charlton for England and Franz Beckenbauer for Germany. This documentary features interviews with residents from Michel Platini's hometown and the people who were influential in his life. Not only that but Platini himself offers his own thoughts on his achievements. With a smattering of top quality footage of Platini in action this is ideal viewing for fans of the player and the game.
