This uproariously funny white trash campfest takes a wicked peek into an extended family of Texas rednecks who've come together for the funeral of their adulterous matriarch. Attending the funeral are her dueling big-haired daughters LaVonda (Ann Walker) and Latrelle (Bonnie Bedelia); sister Sissy (Beth Grant) who picked the wrong time to quit smoking; a revengeful neighbor (Delta Burke); brother Earl (Leslie Jordan) a Tammy Wynette-obsessed drag queen; hunky Ty (Kirk Geiger) Latrelle's estranged gay son; and Bitsy Mae (Olivia Newton-John) a country music-singing ex-con... lesbian. The tantrums gossips and revelations spill all over the linoleum floor in this film that deliriously revels at its chitin-loving beer-guzzling gun-totting same sex-loving pill-popping eccentrics. Southern-fried, trailer trash comedy in which a Texan family comes together to attend the funeral of their mother. When their adulterous mother dies, sister Sissy (Beth Grant) and daughters LaVonda (Ann Walker) and Latrelle (Bonnie Bedelia) take charge of the funeral arrangements as best they can. But it's not that easy, especially when they have to try and keep their mother's affair a secret from wronged wife Noleta (Delta Burke), deal with their Tammy Wynette-fixated brother, and come to terms with Latrelle's highly camp, soap star son, Ty (Kirk Geiger). To top it all off, Olivia Newton-John turns up as an ex-jailbird, lesbian country singer.
