Entire first series of the Channel 4 sitcom centring around comic book fanatic Tim Bisley (Simon Pegg) and aspiring journalist Daisy Steiner (Jessica Stevenson), an ill-matched duo who decide to pose as a professional couple in order to gain tenancy of a North London flat. Losers in love, the pair grow closer through a series of traumas and misadventures - paintballing, dognapping, failed job interviews, performance art - which they share with their eccentric friends: landlady Marsha (Julia Deakin); eccentric artist Brian Topp (Mark Heap); bubble-brained Twist Morgan (Katy Carmichael); and Tim's childhood friend, the military-obsessed Mike Watt (Nick Frost).
