Orson Welles directs and stars in this noir tale of Nazi war criminals hidden away in small-town America. Officer Wilson (Edward G. Robinson), of the United Nations War Crimes Commission, is on the trail of Franz Kindler, a Nazi leader responsible for the atrocities of the Holocaust. Following Kindler's former associate Konrad Meinike (Konstantin Shayne) to Harper, Connecticut, Wilson thinks he's found his target adopting the new identity of Charles Rankin (Welles), a local school teacher with plans to restore the town clock to its former glory. Wilson stays around to investigate, while Rankin's wife Mary Longstreet (Loretta Young) becomes increasingly distrustful of her partner's suspicious behaviour...

But when he finds himself hunted by both the FBI and the Russian mob, this amnesiac decides to fight back. Pursuit cannot stop him. Torture will not break him. And with every beating, bullet and betrayal, he'll remember another piece of the horror that took away his career, his family and his identity. Now the puzzle is nearly complete, and one man is about to take back his past... by ending a whole lot of futures. Erica Cerra (Eureka) and Adam Beach (Flags Of Our Fathers) star in this explosive action-thriller about collateral damage, stone cold vengeance, and a double-crossed killing machine known only as The Stranger.   Actors Steve Austin, Adam Beach, Erica Cerra & John Trench Director Robert Lieberman Certificate 15 years and over Year 2010 Screen Widescreen 1.78:1 Languages English - Dolby Digital (5.1) Subtitles None Listed Duration 1 hour and 27 minutes (approx)
