Bonus Features Behind the Scenes
Marah Strauch directs this documentary about Carl Boenish, the father of modern BASE jumping. Together with his wife Jean, Carl brought new energy and daring to skydiving by shunning planes in favour of fixed structures to jump from. Popularising the movement by filming his jumps, Carl promoted the sport and encouraged safety through his self-published magazine. However, his greatest passion was also his undoing when, days after setting a new BASE jumping Guinness World Record with his wife, Carl died while attempting a solo jump off the Troll Wall in Norway.
