Can Earth be saved from this Super Storm? Actors David Sutcliffe Erica Cerra & Mitch Pileggi Director Sheldon Wilson Year 2011
Made-for-TV disaster movie in which a group of high school students find themselves at the centre of efforts to stop a deadly cyclone. Megan (Luisa D'Oliveira) is in detention alongside meek Will (Brett Dier) and jock Lawson (Reilly Dollman) when the cyclone begins closing in, causing untold damage to the nearby cities of New York, Boston and Washington DC. The cyclone appears to be related to a red spot on Jupiter and carries a strong electric charge that compounds its destructive force. Megan and her detention buddies surmise that the storm may be related to a rare kind of neutrino, explaining the electric charge, and come up with a ploy to harness and channel the power of the storm. However, with resources scarce and time running out as the cyclone wreaks havoc all around them, will they manage to make themselves heroes?
