A high school English teacher near Sofia who also works as a translator to earn extra cash is stunned by a theft report by one of her students. She is determined to find the culprit and punish them. Margita Gosheva stars as a troubled young teacher in this Bulgarian drama. Schoolteacher Nadezhda (Gosheva) is struggling to make mortgage repayments on her house with her alcoholic husband spending most of her earnings. Hoping to get a loan, she visits her father (Ivan Savov) only to find him preoccupied with a young, new girlfriend after the death of his wife. With her house facing foreclosure, Nadezhda desparately turns to a loan shark for money. While trying to get her personal life in order, Nadezhda discovers there is a thief amongst one of her students and resolves to find out who so she can teach them a lesson.
