Target Berlin: A must for Lancaster aficionados... this is a documentary film account of the building of the very first Canadian Lancaster with great production and roll out footage. The film then follows the Lancaster on its flight to England and out on its first night mission to strike at Berlin itself. Target Study Petroleum: A short Allied film from 1943 explaining the importance of hitting German refineries. Target Planning: Another short Allied film this time explaining why destroying ball bearing plants is so vital to the war effort. Operation Titaninc and Missions For Moscow: The 1944 Shuttle raids involved American heavy bombers taking off from bases in Britain and Italy striking deep into Nazi Germany and then landing to refuel in Russia before returning. These two documentaries focus on these unusual 'shuttle bombing missions' with original footage of B-17 Flying Fortresses Liberators and their fighter escorts in action as well as behind the scenes film from Soviet airfields.
