Joe Hughes got infected by the blues virus when he was still a child. At the age of fourteen he purchased his first guitar from the money he earned as a dish-washer. Two years later he formed his own band called The Dukes, featuring the legendary Johnny Copeland. Despite remaining a lifelong resident of Houston, Joe 'Guitar' Hughes became a household name worldwide. His concise, stinging guitar style and warm vocals prove to be an inspiration for a legion of young blues players. The Swingmaster series consists of unique blues recordings, made by the owners of the Dutch... record shop Swingmaster, a household name for aficionados all over the world. The owners have a finely honed sense for talent, recording well-known artists as well as more 'obscure' musicians. The recordings were made in concert halls, but also in the back of their store or even in their own homes. They are not made with the latest techniques, but they are unique and compulsory material for everybody who loves great, timeless blues sounds.Tracks:1. Hideaway2. Going Fishing3.
