American thriller in which the wife of a U.S. Senate candidate, Dr. Veronica Simon (Mira Sorvino), becomes anxious when she hears rumours of her husband Jake Simon (Cary Elwes)'s infidelity. When the couple attend an art exhibition fundraiser, Veronica meets the enigmatic artist Victor Bernard (Christopher Backus) and the two are quickly drawn to each other. After a short fling, Veronica tells Victor that she must concentrate on her family and her husband's professional life, to which Victor does not take kindly.
