Adapted by the makers of 'The Snowman' from the book by Raymond Briggs, this is the story of a little girl who accidentally drops her teddy bear into the polar bear's pit at the zoo. That night she cries herself to sleep, only to be woken up by a polar bear who has come to return her teddy. The bear and the girl then begin a friendship which poses one big problem - how can she keep such a big bear in her house without her parents finding out? Soon however the spirit of the Great Bear calls them both on a magical adventure.
