Heartwarming tale in which an unhappy child adopts a bunny at Christmas. Julia (Sophie Bolen) has had a tough childhood and has been taken into state care. When she is adopted by Patti (Madeline Vail) and Scott (Colby French) she is recalcitrant, to say the least; all she seems to want to do is watch the film 'The Velveteen Rabbit' over and again. However, one day in the woods near the family home Julia stumbles across a real rabbit, injured and in need of help. Will a pet rabbit be just the thing to lift her spirits and turn her life around?
An emotionally withdrawn orphan helps an injured rabbit, thereby opening the way to empathy with other people.
