From the creators of The Wire comes the award winning and critically acclaimed six part mini-series The Corner. Gritty, raw, honest and compelling, the series explores the lives of residents in a drug blighted West Baltimore neighborhood in 1993. Based on real events and real people, The Corner is challenging and intelligent drama at its best. A must-buy for any fans of The Wire. The critically acclaimed and award winning series is based on the non-fiction book 'The Corner - A Year in the Life of an Inner-City Neighborhood', The Corner tells the true story of men, women, and children living amid the open-air drug markets of West Baltimore. It chronicles a year in the lives of 15-year old DeAndre McCullough, his mother Fran Boyd, and his father Gary McCullough, as well as other addicts and low-level drug dealers caught up in the twin-engine economy of heroin and cocaine.

All six episodes of the gritty HBO docudrama mini-series set in a drug-saturated West Baltimore neighbourhood in the mid-1990s and based on real people and events. The series was a precursor to writers David Simon and Ed Burns's highly-acclaimed 'The Wire' and chronicles a year in the lives of 15-year old DeAndre McCullough (Sean Nelson) and his addict parents Fran Boyd and Gary McCullough (Khandi Alexander and T.K. Carter), as well as others caught up in the dealing and using of heroin and cocaine. Episodes are: 'Gary's Blues', 'DeAndre's Blues', 'Fran's Blues', 'Dope Fiend Blues', 'Corner Boy Blues' and 'Everyman's Blues'.
