Bela Lugosi plays the archetypal mad scientist who kidnaps newlywed brides and drains their glandular fluids to rejuvenate his ageing wife. All the horror elements are involved: mad scientist; old witch-like hag; a dwarf; coffins; swirling mist and inclement weather.

A mad scientist extracts the fluid in the glands behind the ears of young virgin brides in order to keep his ageing wife alive.
