Documentary inspired by 'The Spirit Level' by Richard Wilkinson and Kate Pickett focusing on inequalities experienced by seven people living in the U.S. and U.K. Examining current economic and social trends in the context of real lives from a variety of backgrounds, the documentary follows a Wall Street psychologist, a woman on a zero-hours contract and the resident of a neighbourhood in which violent crime is escalating, the narrative juxtaposes the vast gap between those at the top and those at the bottom and looks at how the expanse continues to widen.
