Political thriller directed by Dennis Gansel. Running away from a failed marriage in Berlin, tabloid reporter Paul Jensen (Moritz Bleibtreu) moves to Moscow to take a job working for the magazine his late father helped found with present editor Alexei Onegin (Rade Serbedzija). The experience he has helps restore the magazine to its former glory and it enjoys a new lease of life under Paul's guidance. But when he meets the political activist Katja (Kasia Smutniak) she convinces him to include a political obituary in its pages, an act which begins a shadowy conspiracy to tarnish Paul's reputation and destroy the magazine's newfound success...
