An account of the infamous American Musicals launched in New York from 1893. The documentary explores the epic of popular American culture as it has changed in every era amidst reflecting the talent of varied prominent composers - Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Rogers and Hart through to the present day of Stephen Sondheim to name but a few.
