Award-winning black comedy co-written by and starring Aki Kaurismaki and directed by his brother Mika. Ville Alfa (Kaurismaki) is a hyperactive, would-be intellectual who can't stop making things up. His fabrications have worked for him so far - he's seduced girls and borrowed large sums of money from friends, family and total strangers. But when this pathological compulsion leads him to lie about the death of his brother, it's a fib too far. Will the young rogue ever be able to curb his deceitful tongue?
