Reginald Beck and Anthony Bushell co-direct this British drama starring Rex Harrison as family man Arthur Groome. After becoming involved with flirtatious and troubled showgirl Rose (Patricia Cutts), Arthur becomes the prime suspect when she is murdered. With Arthur unable to disprove the circumstantial evidence, a trial ensues during which Arthur's wife Mary (Lilli Palmer) resolutely proclaims his innocence.
