Comedy based on the bestselling novel by ex-nannies, Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus. Strapped for cash after her recent graduation from college, working-class New Jerseyite Annie Braddock (Scarlett Johansson) takes a job as a nanny with Mr. (Paul Giamatti) and Mrs. X (Laura Linney), a wealthy Upper East Side couple looking for someone to care for their 5-year-old son, Grayer (Nicholas Art). Annie has done some babysitting in the past, but she has no idea what she is getting herself into when she accepts the position. Mrs. X turns out to be the employer from hell, a pampered wife, whose increasingly outrageous demands take a considerable toll on Annie. The domineering Mr. X is never around and even seems neglectful of Grayer at times. Caught right in the middle of the couple's crumbling marriage, Annie spends the next nine months juggling between the pair, their dysfunctions, their son, and a new love interest nicknamed 'The Harvard Hottie' (Chris Evans).
