Please note this is a region 2 DVD and will require a region 2 or region Free DVD Player in order to play  Live performance of the ballet, composed by Tchaikovsky, about a nutcracker doll that comes to life at the stroke of midnight. Valery Gergiev conducts the Mariinsky Orchestra, with the Mariinsky Ballet performing Vasily Vainonen's choreography. The dancers include Alina Somova, Vladimir Shklyarov and Fyodor Lopukhov.
