  Huge Laurie gives a rare performance in this mild-witty drama, if you expect laugh out loud (this film isn't for you) however after 8 seasons of House, Huge demonstrates that he can clearly manage other roles in this film.
  An interesting story which has finally come to screen, this sort of family love is happening all around the world. the film is 90 minutes which I felt was enough time to get to grips with story and characters. 5/10.

Their comfortable existence goes awry when prodigal daughter Nina Ostroff (Leighton Meester - Date Night), newly broken up with her fiancé, returns home for Thanksgiving after a five-year absence. Rather than developing an interest in the successful son of her neighbours, Toby Walling (Adam Brody - TV Series The O.C.), which would please both families, it's her parents' best friend David who captures Nina's attention. Romantic comedy drama in which the long-standing friendship between two families is tested by an unexpected relationship. The film details the emotional impact on two New Jersey families when 40-something David Walling (Hugh Laurie) begins an affair with Nina (Leighton Meester), the 20-something daughter of his old friends and near neighbours Carol and Terry Ostroff (Allison Janney and Oliver Platt). The relationship causes waves of disbelief and consternation among both families, ultimately forcing everyone involved to re-evaluate their own lives in the light of their new circumstances.
