As a child Alex Laney (Christopher Lambert) stands helpless by the family piano as his parents are brutally gunned down by a hired hit-man. He has lived with these demons all his life and has himself become a clinical professional killer. When notorious crime lord Christo Nichol is released from a South African prison Alex is dispatched there to protect corrupt lawyer Robert Nile (Dennis Hopper) who has a violent history with Christo.
