Harpist, singer and television personality, Kathleen Watkins, is married to Ireland's best known TV and radio presenter, Gay Byrne, who wrote the sleeve notes for this release. Gay Byrne wrote: 'I believe Kathleen to be the best speaker of poetry I have heard. She has a particularly pleasing and mellow voice, but from long interest in the works of poets, she is able to extract much more meaning from the words than is evident from just a reading. In various gatherings through the years I have seen her provoke a tear or two with her voicing of Seamus Heaney's and Patrick Kavanagh's pieces.' The readings are accompanied by film of some of Ireland's beautiful locations.
