A look at the design, history and current condition of three royal palaces, presented by Fiona Bruce. Buckingham Palace is The Queen's primary residence, located in the heart of London and a major tourist attraction. Windsor Castle, The Queen's weekend retreat, is the longest-occupied palace in Europe, having been used by a succession of monarchs dating back to Henry I. The Palace of Holyroodhouse is The Queen's official residence in Scotland and has housed Scottish Kings and Queens since the 15th century. The architecture, history and design of each castle are explored at length, with contributions from Royal experts.
