Off-beat comedy drama. Intelligent, disillusioned teenager Placid Lake (Ben Lee) graduates from high school and decides to annoy his New Age, bohemian parents by taking the straightest job he can find. After getting a smart haircut and buying a suit, Placid decides on a career in insurance, much to the dismay of his eccentric best friend Gemma (Rose Byrne).
