Documentary history of the surrounding areas of London that saw one of the most turbulent periods in the history of the British royal family. Hatfield was the area where the future Elizabeth I grew up, and where she was informed of her impending imprisonment in the Tower, while in Richmond lie the remains of the palace in which Elizabeth I lived out her last days. Nearby Rochester saw the restoration and later abdication of King James II.
