Feature-length Christmas special of the BBC sitcom written by Caroline Aherne. Jim (Ricky Tomlinson) and Barbara (Sue Johnston) have received a gift of money from their children, but cannot agree what to spend it on. Barbara wants to finally go abroad on holiday, while Jim favours buying an HD satellite box for the family's always-on television.

Please note this is a region 2 DVD and will require a region 2 (Europe) or region Free DVD Player in order to play Coach potatoes, armchair philosophers and national treasures; the Royles return for another festive one-off special. This year Jim and Barbara are treated to a generous sum of money by their loving family, the only problem is what to spend it on. As Barbara considers exotic holidays in the Bermuda Triangle, Jim works on convincing her that a satellite HD box is a far more fitting use of the gift. Created by Caroline Aherne and Craig Cash, THE ROYLE FAMILY's subtle humour and surprisingly poignant moments have seen it become a modern comedy classic. Age Rating 12
