Set in Salt Lake City in 1962, this children's feature tells the story of the friendship between two 12-year old boys, Scotty (Tom Guiry) and Benny (Mike Vitar). When Scotty and his family move town, he manages to get involved with a baseball game played in a sandlot out the back of his house, despite being useless at the sport, thanks to the engineering of a catch by the team's best player, Benny. As the summer progresses the two boys become good friends while having occasional adventures with the next-door neighbour's terrifying dog - The Beast.
