Four episodes from the popular animated comedy series, in which everyone's favourite dysfunctional family tussle with heaven and the other place. In 'Bart Sells His Soul', Bart attempts to reclaim his soul after Lisa makes him aware of the error of his ways. 'In Marge We Trust' sees the Simpsons' blue-haired matriarch attempting to make Reverend Lovejoy aware that being a minister entails doing more than just not caring about anybody. In 'Treehouse of Horror IV', the Simpsons experience four creepy 'Twilight Zine/Outer Limits' spoofs, including one featuring a vampiric Mr Burns. Finally, Homer sets up his own religion in 'Homer the Heretic', as he sees no reason to attend church in the freezing cold. What clinches it is when Homer has a dream in which God actually agrees with his plan. Doh!
