Montgomery Tully directs this 1960s British sci-fi movie based on the novel 'The Wailing Asteroid' by Murray Leinster. Scientist Joe Burke (Simon Oates) and his team, which also includes Sandy Lund (Zena Marshall) and Ben Keller (Stanley Meadows), have been having little success detecting signs of life on other planets from their radio telescope laboratory. Indeed, so little have they gained from the enterprise that auditor Joshua Yellowlees (Charles Hawtrey) arrives at the facility with every intention of closing them down. However, one fateful night the scientists finally make contact and abruptly find themselves teleported to an asteroid - the beginning of an unexpected adventure...
