But when he gets out of prison after serving twelve years for armed robbery, he finds his wife and children have moved on without him. Life for an ex-convict isn’t easy and the temptation to return to crime is hard to resist – especially when it might protect his loved ones. Is Jimmy strong enough to do what's right? The Trials of Jimmy Rose is a moving, gripping drama about how the simplest things are often the hardest to achieve.

Ray Winstone and Amanda Redman star in this three-part ITV drama. After serving 12 years in prison for armed robbery, notorious criminal Jimmy Rose (Winstone) returns home to find his family has abandoned him for his years of illegal misdemeanours. Jimmy's wife Jackie (Redman) doesn't know if she still loves him and his adult children have moved on with their lives. Can Jimmy put his life of crime behind him to regain his family's trust and respect?
