After finding a magical amulet under a bridge, Jim Lake Jr. (voice of Anton Yelchin) finds himself appointed the next Trollhunter, the ancient and prestigious title awarded to the champion warrior of the Troll world. Being the first human to ever take on the role, Jim is met with much opposition in Trollmarket but nevertheless begins his training with his friend Toby (Charlie Saxton). Tasked with protecting the Trolls from the evil Gumm-Gumms, Jim is forced to take action when he discovers that ruthless Gumm-Gumm warrior Bular (Ron Perlman) is planning a surprise attack.
