Turbulent Skies DVD

| DVD

After a pilot error causes a devastating airline crash, Devain Industries unveils the CD70 - a revolutionary automated system invented by Tom Woodard (Casper Van Dien of Starship Troopers) and his wife Samantha (Nicole Eggert of Baywatch) designed to someday make human pilots obsolete. But when reckless playboy Charles Devain (Patrick Muldoon of Starship Troopers and Melrose Place) and his billionaire father (Brad Dourif of Halloween and Deadwood) insist on using the prototype for a celebratory VIP flight from Los Angeles to New York City, a computer virus triggers... a terrifying chain of events: The 747 goes off-course during a lightning storm. Their communication systems are dead. And the Pentagon wants to blast the crippled jet - and its passengers - out of the sky. Even if Tom can make a mid-air transfer at 30,000 feet, will he be able to disengage the infected system, or will Tom and the passengers fall victim to Turbulent Skies? [show more]

Thriller in which an ill-advised journey on a prototype plane lurches towards disaster when a virus devastates the plane's computer system and sends it out of control. Devain Industries are the owners of a computer programme designed by Tom Woodard (Casper Van Dien) and his wife, Samantha (Nicole Eggert), to enable planes to fly completely without human input, thus eliminating crashes caused by human error. Unfortunately, the billionaire owners of Devain, Charles (Patrick Muldoon) and Richard (Brad Dourif), insist on flying the prototype from Los Angeles to New York and won't listen to Tom's objections. To make matters worse, just before the VIP flight the reckless Charles uploads some software to the flight system that is riddled with viruses and quickly causes an infection to break out. Can Tom find a way to get the system back under control before the plane crashes or is shot out of the sky by the US Air Force as a threat to civilians?
