Double bill of BBC adaptations of Agatha Christie's crime stories. 'The Witness for the Prosecution' (2016) is set in 1920s London where Leonard Vole (Billy Howle) is arrested for the brutal murder of wealthy heiress Emily French (Kim Cattrall). While all the evidence points to Vole, his partner Romaine (Andrea Riseborough) takes to the stand as a witness for the prosecution in a complex bid to maintain his freedom.
