Advertising executive Shante Smith (Vivica A. Fox) thinks she has her life sorted out, with a good secure job, and a perfect mate in the form of lawyer Keith (Morris Chestnut). But when Keith is spotted out on the town with her rival Conny (Gabrielle Union), Shante realises that she is going to have to work quick if she wants to save face and keep her man in order. Drawing up her 'Ten Day Plan', she soon instigates a series of strategic initiatives - including sexy underwear and home cooking - designed to bring the errant Keith back onto the straight and narrow.
