Powerful, moving drama as a mother searches for her young son in the war-torn streets of south Lebanon during the 2006 Lebanese-Israeli conflict. While going through a painful divorce, Zeina (Nada Abou Farhat), a well-to-do Shiite mother, sends her six-year-old son to stay with her sister in the village of Kherbet Selem, south of the Lebanese border. But when she learns that war has broken out in Lebanon, and that her son has gone missing, Zeina mounts a frantic mission to reach him. Finally arriving in Beirut after a tortuous journey, she manages to pursuade friendly Christian taxi driver Tony (Georges Khabbaz) to drive her to the village, through increasingly dangerous territory, only to find that her sister is dead, and her son has disappeared. As she sets out once again on her search through the battle-ravaged landscape, this time helped by Tony, the religious differences that have defined their lives thus far quickly pale into insignificance.
