Collection of four works performed by The Royal Ballet and the Royal Opera House Orchestra, recorded in October 2015. Liam Scarlett choreographs Liebermann's 'Viscera', conducted by Emmanuel Plasson and starring Laura Morera. Plasson conducts the orchestra for Debussy's 'Afternoon of a Faun' in which the dancers, including Sarah Lamb and Vadim Muntagirov, perform Jerome Robbins' choreography. Choreographer George Balanchine's 'Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux' is also conducted by Plasson, with the cast featuring Iana Salenko and Steven McRae. Finally, Bizet's 'Carmen', arranged, orchestrated and conducted by Martin Yates and choreographed by Carlos Acosta, stars Marianela Nuñez in the title role.
