Clémence Poésy and Alessio Boni star in this dramatisation of Tolstoy's epic novel. Set in Russia in the first decades of the 19th century, the series follows the mixed fortunes of Pierre Bezuhov (Alexander Beyer), the illegitimate son of a wealthy count, who along with his friend Andrei Bolkonsky (Alessio Boni) becomes caught up in the Napoleonic Wars.
