Adventure drama filmed in quasi-documentary style, starring Anthony Steel as Bob Payton, who is setting up one of Africa's first wildlife reserves in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. When ivory poachers sign up for the reserve's safari tour in the hope of being led to valuable elephants, Payton and his wife Mary (Dinah Sheridan) must do all they can to foil the gang of villains led by the irascible Mannering (Harold Warrender).
