She is devastated when her father eventually sets Hagen free on the streets. Still innocently believing love can conquer any difficulty, Lili sets out to find her dog and save him.
Kornél Mundruczó directs this Hungarian drama starring Zsófia Psotta and Sándor Zsótér. When 13-year-old Lili (Psotta) is sent to live with her father Daniel (Zsótér), she hopes he won't have a problem with also taking in her dog, Hagen. In the city of Budapest however, there is a law that states mixed-breed dogs require a licence, something Daniel is not willing to pay for so he takes Hagen out in his car and abandons him in the middle of nowhere. As Lili fights to find her canine companion Hagen is plotting a reunion scheme of his very own.
