Documentary presented by British wildlife expert, Ray Mears, exploring the great outdoors. The six episode series takes a closer look at the countryside and wildlife of Britain today, starting off in the Forest of Dean, in Gloucestershire, one of the UK's few remaining ancient forests. Ray meets with local experts and uses his tracking skills to find species of wildlife, such as wild boar and hazel dormice, in their natural habitats. Episodes are: 'Dedicuous Forest', 'Shingle Shore', 'Meadows and Farmland', 'Wetlands', 'Heath' and 'Moorland'.
