Coverage of the 2012 men's final at Wimbledon in which Andy Murray took on Roger Federer. With the Grand Slam trophy at stake the two remaining competitors prepared to battle it out in a best-of-five set match played on Centre Court on Sunday 8th July. Murray was aiming to make history by becoming the first British man to lift the title since Fred Perry in 1936, while Federer had his own eye on history, with the chance to equal Pete Sampras' record of seven Wimbledon titles.
