The final score showed 6-4 7-5 6-4 but it was never that easy. With temperatures on court reaching 40C the intensity of play from the players ranked world no. 1 and 2 was mesmerising. World class shots and athleticism meant the momentum swayed back and forth with frequent breaks of serve. In the final nail biting 12 minute game Djokovic saved 3 Championship points but on the 4th his backhand return hit the net.
