Fresh from winning the Tiger Award at the Rotterdam Film Festival Wonderful Town is a film about a rural community following the aftermath of the tsunami which destroyed the tourist industry. Local girl Na runs a small hotel where every day is more of less the same until one day Ta arrives. Ta is an architect from the city who has come to oversee the building of a new development and very slowly the two build a friendship that develops into something more romantic.

Thai drama exploring the after-effects of the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami. When Ton (Supphasit Kansen), a young architect from Bangkok, arrives in the small southern coastal town of Takua Pa to oversee the construction of a new resort following the devastation of the tsunami, he stays at a small hotel run by sensitive local girl Na (Anchalee Saisoontorn), with whom he begins a tentative relationship. But the resentment expressed by the townspeople towards both his work and his personal life soon threatens to undermine Ton's role in the rebuilding of the town.
