Takashi Miike directs this live action adaptation of the 1970s anime series. To the untrained eye, toy shop worker Gan (Shô Sakurai) and his girlfriend, Ai (Saki Fukuda), are just normal teenagers who like to fool around with robotic inventions. In fact, Gan and Ai form a formidable superhero team called Yatterman and seek to preserve law and order in the face of the threat posed by the Doronbo gang, led by the beautiful but deadly Doronjo (Kyôko Fukuda). The gang members make for fearful adversaries, but, fortunately, Gan and Ai-Chan can call on the help of a couple of robot friends in their struggle to keep humanity secure...
