Collection of six colour episodes from the long-running BBC police drama. Set in the north of England in the fictional town of Newtown, the series aimed to bring to life the adventures of a new breed of policeman. With the solitary 'bobby on the beat' increasingly replaced by pairs of officers working together in patrol cars, the show followed these new, more mobile officers, as they sought to keep the peace. The stars of the show included James Ellis, John Slater and Douglas Fielding.
