SS EXPERIMENT CAMP has arrived back to UK shelves uncut uncensored and ready to scandalise a new generation of gore-hungry viewers! With this said the flick that kicked off the entire ‘video nasty’ scandal is not afraid to show both the horrors of fascism and the struggles of heroism in the shadow of World War 2’s vilest violence. Add to this mix a subtle tongue-in-cheek splat-stick mentality (after all the best way to get your own back at Nazis is to laugh at them!) and the sort of palpable postwar Italian guilt that highlighted the entire Rome-based boom in Third Reich exploitation romps and you have a curious schlock-totem. SS EXPERIMENT CAMP may have upset the censors back in 1976 but today it stands tall as a must-see example of bad taste VHS-era bloodshed… suitable for steel-stomachs and scholars of the rental shop era! You'll need more than an exorcist to save the night child. When a documentarian delves into the dark world of satanic art for a new film, he unearths a disturbing painting that leads him into a world of post-Exorcist Italo-Horror where cursed medallions, possessed children and the overwhelming power of the dark lord converge to create a visually stunning and wildly eccentric exploitation classic from Massimo Dallamano (Venus in Furs, What Have You Done With Solange?)With Italian cult cinema child star Nicoletta Elmi (Who Saw Her Die?, A Bay of Blood) as the motherless, demon-demented daughter and Zombie Flesh Eaters' Richard Johnson as the filmmaker searching for the evil truth, The Night Child is a perfect example of expertly shot, beautifully crafted B-cinema.See a young girl descend into the hellish pit of demonic possession in The Night Child, a textbook example of 70s euro-horror from an Italian exploitation master.
Five college friends head up to a remote cabin in the woods by an idyllic sun-drenched lake for a hedonistic weekend of booze-fuelled sex. However, when they are interrupted by an unwelcome visitor, a local hobo with a rotting and infested skin virus, they decide to get rid of him, but unwittingly end up contaminating the water when his body ends up in the lake. The friends soon find themselves desperate for water and as the contamination spreads and the in-fighting escalates they discover that each of them will stop at absolutely nothing to survive.
Based loosely on the serial killings of Ed Gein (which also provided the inspiration for 'Psycho', 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' and 'Silence of the Lambs'). Ezra Cobb (Robert Blossom) is devastated when his mother dies, and so digs up her corpse and installs it in his home. After a while, Ezra decides that his Ma could use some company, and starts committing gruesome murders.
In an affluent suburb of Buenos Aires in the early-80s, a seemingly normal family makes its living off kidnapping and murder. Welcome to the home of the Puccios - and the astonishing true story of Argentina's most notorious crime family. Patriarch and former secret service agent ArquÃmedes (a terrifying, icy performance from Guillermo Francella) plans and heads up the gruesome operations. His eldest sun Alejandro, a star rugby player with rising hopes for Argentina's national team, gives in to his father's will and helps identify possible candidates for abduction. Slowly but surely, the other family members all become accomplices as they either support or turn a blind eye to the terrible crimes, living off the large ransoms paid by their victims' families in the process. Winner of the 2015 Venice Silver Lion for Best Director and five Argentine Academy Awards, Pablo Trapero's thrilling new film is a true-life tale of corruption and manipulation, riddled with shocking intrigue and nail-biting suspense - taking place in the final years of the Argentine military dictatorship and incipient return to democracy.

Lamberto Bava, son of the Italian horror legend and giallo godfather Mario Bava, teamed up with modern master Dario Argent (co-writer and producer) for this slick gorefest, a triumph of style and special effects over movie logic. Set in a refurbished German movie palace, our hapless soon-to-be victims arrive for a sneak preview of a horror movie only to see the gore unfold in the audience, as well as onscreen. While the exposition remains murky, one patron finds that an infected cut leads to a gooey transformation, and every one of her victims follows suit until the snaggle-toothed monsters outnumber the humans. The survivors, trapped in the tomb of a cinema, must fend off attacks à la George Romero's Night of the Living Dead. Borrowing liberally from films such as Dawn of the Dead and The Tingler, Demons also anticipates Scream in its cinema-savvy references, not to mention its undeniably Neve Campbell-ish heroine. The blaring heavy-metal-hard-rock soundtrack and the carnival horror-house atmosphere helps remind us that this is all just stupid fun. Despite the overwhelming body count, excessive gore and rivers of green demon pus, the cartoonishly grotesque killings avoid the sadistic edge of many Italian horror films. By the climax of the film the premise is long forgotten in a ghoul apocalypse, but who's watching this for the story anyway? --Sean Axmaker, Amazon.com

First come the Shivers… then you turn RABID! Celebrated Canadian cult auteur David Cronenberg (The Fly Videodrome) followed up Shivers with this tense and gory thriller which expands upon the venereal disease theme of that film this time unleashing it on the whole of downtown Montreal – with terrifying consequences. When beautiful Rose (adult film star Marilyn Chambers) is badly injured in a motorcycle crash Dr. Keloid who is in the process of developing a revolutionary new type of skin-graft seizes the opportunity to test out his as yet unproven methods. The surgery appears successful and Rose seems restored to full health. But all is not as it should be – Rose has been transformed into a contagious blood-sucker endowed with a bizarre needle-like protrusion in her armpit with which she drains the blood from those unfortunate enough to be in her vicinity. An important landmark in the early career of Cronenberg Rabid sees the director returning to the viral theme of his earlier work but on a much larger (and more assured) scale – where the infection has shifted from the confines of a single apartment block to the expansive shopping centres and motorways of Canada’s second largest city.
In the taut thriller The Shallows, when Nancy (Blake Lively) is surfing on a secluded beach, she finds herself on the feeding ground of a great white shark.
