| RRP PBR stands for Patrol Boat Rescue, the small fiberglass Navy vessels that cruised into the dark shallow rivers of Vietnam. In the summer of 1969, Army Intelligence reported an influx of Viet Cong near the North Saigon River. this area was known as a crossing point into Cambodia where the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese Army would stock up on ammo and supplies. On the night of August 2, the Navy PBRs and an Army Recon Team were ordered to stop them. This programme details how 30 courageous men on 6 boats put themselves in harm’s way. Sailor David Larsen almost single-handedly battles 50 Viet Cong, saving many American lives, while taking out the enemy. 45 minutes of war result in a hard-fought victory for the US. This is an incredible story of strategy, planning and stealth. These were the integral attributes to this previously untold story about sacrifice, courage and duty in Vietnam as 30 men on 6 boats did all they could to battle the Viet Cong.

| RRP In Operation Desert storm, the F-15 Eagle upheld its reputation as a 'super fighter' and the Stealth F-117 Nighthawk put and end to worries that it was a high-priced failure. First flown in 1972, McDonnell Douglas's F-15 surpassed the Soviets' MiG 25 as the fastest, most maneuverable fighter in the world. During the air war over Iraq, they proved their worth with their ability to fly effectively at night and in adverse weather conditions and to strike targets with pinpoint accuracy. They intercepted enemy aircraft but also safeguarded friendly ones, dropping in total 11 million pounds of ordnance. After years of top secrecy, two well-publicised F-117 crashes led many to wonder if the plane's $52 million price tag was worth it. During Operation Desert Storm, they were consistently assigned the most dangerous targets. Their success was due to their stealth technology which gave the element of surprise. Forty-two F-117s flew sorties over the flak-filled skies of Baghdad and demolished the Iraqi command and control network. Not only did every F-117 comeback but none of them bore so much as a stretch. Experience from inside the bombing runs and air-to-air engagement in this enthralling DVD.

| RRP On January 31, 1968, the North Vietnamese Army launches the surprise Tet Offensive, simultaneously attacking dozens of South Vietnamese cities. Among them is the ancient city of Hue. A very small contingent of US Marines and South Vietnamese Army troops defend the city and they are quickly surrounded and badly outnumbered 10 to 1. At first the Marines have no idea as to the extent of the attack and do not know that nearly all the city has fallen under Communist control. As they begin their counter-attacks, they meet stiff and determined resistance. Even as reinforcements arrive, narrowing the odds to 4 to1, the Marines are continually pinned down by dangerous machine gun nests and hidden North Vietnamese troops. The Marines had to attack the communists block by block, building by building, to drive them out. As the battle unfolds, strategic objectives change by the day. It becomes clear that they will have to drive the North Vietnamese out of the South side of Hue before they can regain control of the city.

| RRP In 1960s America there was a revolution in the waging of war. Control of conflicts moved from the generals to the politicians. Vietnam was the bloody testing ground of this new theory. The Air Force found itself ill-equipped for such a war. It learned it the hard way. Ill-defined war goals and micro-management from Washington brought the Air Force into Vietnam with little hope of success. Despite this, the men and aircraft involved provided a constant air threat and came home with a new vision for the future.

| RRP Thanksgiving Day, 1967. The 2nd and 4th Battalions of the 503rd Airborne Infantry are pushing their way up a steep mountain hill called 875 (the name derives from the height of the mountain, in metres). They have been fighting the enemy every inch of the way and have lost hundreds of men in the past few days. The Viet Cong has hidden itself in the dense jungle terrain and is picking off the American soldiers one by one. American soldiers from the 2nd Battalion and 503rd Airbourne finally close in on the summit where they encounter a barrage of gunfire. The elite forces of the Viet Cong have dug in and hidden themselves in camouflaged bunkers that give them an excellent field of fire. The 2nd Battalion comes under heavy fire but succeeds in circling the summit. The soldiers hunker down only 20 yards from the Viet Cong perimeter, where they pull their rucksacks over their heads to avoid being killed from bullets, mortars and shrapnel. After calling in air strikes, two waves of troops mount a courageous bayonet charge up to the hill, engaging in hand to hand combat all the way.

Most military accounts of the Vietnam War emphasise the role of the Army, the Marine Corps, and the Air Force during the conflict with very little attention paid to the operations to prevent coastal and river infiltration by Communist forces. Those Coast Guardsmen that fought in the war are practically forgotten, but their stories are recounted in this special documentary.

| RRP The ground war begins and its greatest air support comes from two American workhouses, the F-16 Fighting Falcon and the A-10 Thunderbolt. The small, fast and highly maneuverable F-16 flew more missions during the Gulf War than any other plane. With its Sidewinder, Sparrow and American missiles, it proved devastating against Iraqi supply lines, airfields, chemical factories and other military installations. In contrast the A-10 Thunderbolt, nicknamed 'The Warthog' due to its antiquated design and electronics, helped win the war by repeatedly bombing Iraqi tanks. In order to reign supreme in the skies, the planes had to be refueled mid-air. A fleet of air-to-air tankers, mostly KC-135s and KC-10s, pumped 110 million gallons of fuel into 46,000 airplanes during Operation Desert Storm. Admire the skill of the pilots, listen to the sadness of the crews as they talk about friendly fire and watch in awe at the jets streaking through the skies.
