  Injured by a Jewish child named Elijah Brutus has his soldiers arrest him and ignoring the father Ezra's pleas he has Elijah thrown to the lions.   Shekhar the eldest son of a wealthy widower with 3 younger siblings meets Sharada at a nature cure clinic. Sharada and Shekhar fall in love but Shekhar has to go abroad on business. Prasad's debut into Hindi films and a rare coming together of Indian cinema's two legends Raj Kapoor and L.V. Prasad. It was also one of the few films starring Meena Kumari opposite Raj Kapoor. L.V. Prasad was nominated for Best Director in the Filmfare Awards while Shyama and Raj Mehra won as Best Supporting Actors.

  Malti (Meena Kumari) and Amar (Sunil Dutt) both are orphans and are happily married to each other with a loving child Raja. Amar is murdered leaving Malti and Raja bereft. Prakash is sympathetic towards them for their great loss and tries to help Malti start afresh. But Bihari incites the neighbours in the locality who torment and accuse Malti of having illicit relations with Prakash. To save Malti's honour Prakash marries her but it is difficult to make little Raja come to terms with his father's demise and accept Prakash in this role. Bihari further provokes Raja into believing that Prakash is responsible for his father's death. Through this struggle both Malti and Prakash try to make little Raja come around but to no avail. Relenting under all the pressure and Raja's rebellion Prakash decides to leave them. Will Prakash leave his family? Will Raja finally accept Prakash? Ek Hi Rasta was the first movie independently produced by B.R.Chopra under his own banner B.R.Films. It covered the bold subject of widow remarriage which won it wide accolades. Majrooh Sultanpuri wrote the songs for this movie which were composed by Hemant Kumar with the superhit 'Chali gori pee se milan ko chali' especially standing out.

Manjhle Babu and Chhote Babu were the two brothers who owned Badi Haveli - the ancestral property that had come down to them through earlier generations. Both in keeping with the family were given to a life of lethargy and philandering where wine flowed and the tinkling anklets of 'nautch' girls were preferred to the endearing smiles of wives. Chhote Babu's wife Chhoti Bahu a middle class woman accepted by the landed aristocracy in marriage for her great beauty could not however reconcile herself to the libertine habits of her spouse. Deprived as she was of the love and presence of her husband Chhoti Bahu's spirit rose in revolt. But tradition as much as the high walls of Badi Haveli checked her from giving expression to it. Even as the lords of Badi Haveli spend their nights in orgies of drinking and philandering and their days in flying pigeons and catching up on lost sleep there arrived at the mansion a village simpleton Bhootnath a relation of an employee of Badi Haveli - Master Babu. In search of a job he soon found one in the Mohini Sindoor Factory as a clerk. In the factory he came across Jaba the sweet daughter of the owner Subinoy Babu. The rustic habits of Bhootnath touched the tender feelings of Jaba in no time. Having read that the application of Mohini Sindoor would bring back for her the errant husband Chhoti Bahu sent for Bhootnath to get her the Sindoor. Bhootnath soon emerged as her confidante and sympathizer. To bring her errant husband back to her Chhoti Bahu set an example of self-sacrifice that left everyone in Badi Haveli stunned with surprise. It will leave you too stunned when you see Sahib Bibi aur Ghulam.
